Guests 18 years or older are welcome to volunteer with our Environment Team, cleaning barns and completing farm chores.

Check-in with staff at the Visitor Barn gift shop at the start of the shift for waivers, T-shirts, and gloves, and to arrange your pick up.
Here's a list of common tasks so you know what to expect:
Lifting heavy piles of manure into tall spreaders or dump carts
Lifting heavy buckets of soiled bedding into spreaders or dump carts
Using a variety of cleaning tools such as pitchforks, rakes, shovels, scrapers, brooms, etc
Performing a lot of walking, bending and lifting
Working in dusty conditions
Working in all weather conditions
Using push mowers, weed eaters, hedge trimmers, smaller gardening hand held tools
Working on muddy, slippery, or uneven ground conditions
Working in Isolation areas wearing ISO gear (pants, shirt, booties, and gloves)
Working on smaller maintenance projects (painting barns, fence repairs, trail clean-ups)
Please note the Sanctuary Tour for Tiny House and Cabin guests is at 9 am each morning of your stay, so don’t miss it!
